"Hi, I'm Jeff, owner of RBM Group. My journey with indoor air quality began over 20 years ago in the HVAC industry, where I witnessed firsthand the impact of clean air on comfort, productivity, and health."
That experience spanned commercial buildings, institutional facilities, and energy auditing work for Natural Resources Canada. Over time, Jeff observed a consistent gap: the diagnostic tools and approaches applied to commercial buildings were rarely brought into residential homes, even though the air quality concerns were equally present.
When Jeff's family moved into a newer, more airtight home, indoor air quality became personal. The same tight construction that makes modern homes energy-efficient also means that whatever is in the indoor air — radon, CO₂, VOCs, humidity — stays there longer. Jeff recognised that families deserved the same evidence-based approach to their indoor environment that commercial building operators had access to.
RBM Group was founded to close that gap: bringing professional diagnostics, calibrated instruments, and written recommendations to homes across Uxbridge, Durham Region, the GTA, Kawartha Lakes, and surrounding Ontario communities.

RBM provides unbiased recommendations based on what the data shows. No forced upgrades. If nothing needs to be done, that is what the report says.

Every visit uses calibrated, professional-grade instruments and follows CNRPP protocols for radon testing and building science standards for indoor air quality.
Advocacy
Jeff believes homeowners deserve to understand their indoor environment — not just receive a list of products. The goal is informed decisions, not dependency.
